The 8000mAh battery runs the camera through the night on a single charge. During the day even on overcast winter days the solar panel keeps topping it up. As long as there's daylight, it's charging. It doesn't need direct sun to recharge.
As long as your area has cell signal, it will work. Weak signal may affect live video quality, but alerts will still come through. The only situation where it won't work is complete dead zones with no cell coverage at all in that case, no SIM-based camera will.
